Last updated: May 19, 2026
## Introduction
Thank you for choosing LunchPunch. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and shared when you use the LunchPunch mobile app.
The data controller responsible for LunchPunch is Oscar Jackson. If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact me at oscar.jackson@protonmail.com.
By using LunchPunch, you acknowledge the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
## Information We Collect
LunchPunch does not require you to create an account, and we do not directly ask you to provide your name, email address, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone access, or health data.
We may process the following information:
- Information you provide directly: If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address and any information you include in your message. We use this only to respond to you and handle your request.
- Local app preferences: LunchPunch may store app settings, reminder preferences, privacy choices, and similar data locally on your device. We do not receive this information unless you choose to send it to us.
- Notification settings: LunchPunch may schedule local reminder notifications if you enable them. These reminders are handled on your device. We do not collect push notification tokens.
- Advertising and SDK data: LunchPunch uses Unity LevelPlay, including Unity Ads and ironSource advertising services, to show and measure ads. These services may collect information such as device type and model, operating system, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, advertising identifiers such as IDFA or GAID where available, app session information, ad impressions, ad clicks, ad interactions, and diagnostic information needed to deliver ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance.
Unity Analytics and Unity Cloud Diagnostics are not currently enabled for LunchPunch. If we enable analytics or crash reporting in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before using those services in a way that materially changes the information collected.
Unity's privacy practices also apply to information collected through Unity services. You can review Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy here:

## How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- To operate and improve LunchPunch.
- To remember local app settings and reminder preferences.
- To display ads in the app.
- To measure ad performance and prevent advertising fraud.
- To diagnose technical issues related to app operation or advertising services.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
## Advertising, Tracking, and Consent
LunchPunch may show ads through Unity LevelPlay, Unity Ads, ironSource, and supported advertising partners. Ads may be contextual or, where permitted by law and your device settings, personalized.
On iOS, LunchPunch may request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before accessing the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or tracking activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising or measurement purposes.
On Android, advertising services may use the Google Advertising ID (GAID) where available and permitted by your device settings.
Depending on where you live, we or our advertising partners may ask for consent before using data for personalized advertising or storing/accessing advertising identifiers. You can still use LunchPunch if you decline personalized advertising, but you may continue to see non-personalized or contextual ads.
## How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information that we directly collect from you.
We may share or make information available in the following limited cases:
- With Unity LevelPlay, Unity Ads, ironSource, and advertising partners as needed to deliver ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and comply with privacy choices.
- With service providers who help us operate, support, or communicate about LunchPunch, if any are used.
- When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of LunchPunch, users, or others.
Under some privacy laws, the use of advertising identifiers for personalized advertising may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising." Where required, you may opt out as described below.
## Data Retention
Local app settings and reminder preferences remain on your device until you change them, clear the app data, or uninstall the app.
If you contact us, we retain your message for as long as needed to respond, keep reasonable records, and comply with legal obligations.
Data collected by Unity LevelPlay, Unity Ads, ironSource, or advertising partners is retained according to their own privacy policies and retention practices.
## Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information processed in connection with LunchPunch. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
## International Transfers
Unity and advertising partners may process information in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States, Israel, and other countries where they or their service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country.
## Children's Privacy
LunchPunch is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at oscar.jackson@protonmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
## Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, and other U.S. states with privacy laws, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access the personal information processed about you.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Request deletion of personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Request portability of personal information where applicable.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling where applicable.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise rights for information we control directly, contact us at oscar.jackson@protonmail.com.
For information collected by Unity services, you may also use Unity's privacy tools, including the Data Privacy icon shown in some Unity ad units, or contact Unity through its privacy policy:
https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
## Ad Choices
You can manage personalized advertising and tracking choices through your device settings:
- iOS: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, then adjust tracking permission for LunchPunch or for apps generally.
- Android: Go to Settings > Google > All services > Ads to manage Android ad privacy settings, including ad topics, app-suggested ads, and ad measurement where available. You may also be able to delete or reset your advertising ID depending on your Android version and device.
You may still see ads after changing these settings, but they may be less personalized.
## Deleting Local Data
Because LunchPunch does not provide user accounts, most app data stored by LunchPunch is local to your device. You can delete local LunchPunch data by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's data through your device settings.
## Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and post the revised policy where this Privacy Policy is made available.
